About Our Citrus Heights Location

Amenities

Our Day Program in Citrus Heights, CA is open from 8:30 AM-11:30 AM Mondays, and 8:30 AM-1:30 PM Tuesday-Friday. This facility sits on 1.5 acres of land and features several gardening opportunities including a vegetable garden, a pumpkin patch, and wildflower planters. We also have a large field suitable for going on walks, playing sports, and flying kites! There is a large paved area with basketball hoops, as well as a jungle gym, and swings. Check it out!

iPads

Staff are supplied with an iPad for clients to use for any number of fun and educational activities. This includes taking photos with peers, accessing the internet, watching YouTube, PBS, and TV shows, learning new skills with Khan Academy, jigsaw puzzles, memory games, chess, bowling, and much more!

Themed Classrooms

Staff cycle between 6 classrooms, each with its own unique theme. In the computer room, people can work on their typing skills, play educational games, access the internet, and watch their favorite shows. The game room has a Wii, an assortment of board games, card games, and puzzles, and lots of tactile items to play with. In the art room, everyone can showcase their artistic skills. There are loads of options, from coloring to painting to assembling one of the art packets put together by our staff. In the exercise room, there are exercise machines and workout videos to follow along with, as well as many fun indoor and outdoor activities to choose from like bowling, corn hole, kite flying, hula hoops, and badminton. In the academic room, there are loads of books as well as matching games, color and shape recognition games, and ample opportunities for improving writing skills. The music & entertainment room has musical instruments like a keyboard, xylophone, drums, and noise makers that play specific notes as well as a Smart TV with access to Hulu, Disney+, PBS, and much more! 

Behavior Plans

At our Citrus Heights location, staff and clients work together with a behaviorist to devise and implement a customized behavior plan that addresses the unique needs of each client. Find more info here.
